Still Knowing began elsewhere — in a virtual space, under a different name, taking shape without the resistance of physical material. That origin is not incidental. There is something in this piece that still carries the weightlessness of where it came from, a form that learned what it wanted to be before it learned what it was made of.
It shares the transparency that runs quietly through the series — open to the room, open to the light, concealing nothing. And yet it stands. The shapes it holds feel like promises not quite fully made, gestures caught between intention and arrival.
What makes Still Knowing singular is that tension between strength and vulnerability. It does not choose between them. It insists on both at once.
Still Knowing begon elders — in een virtuele ruimte, onder een andere naam, vorm aannemend zonder de weerstand van fysiek materiaal. Die oorsprong is niet toevallig. Er is iets in dit werk dat nog steeds de gewichtloosheid draagt van waar het vandaan komt, een vorm die leerde wat het wilde zijn voordat het leerde waaruit het gemaakt was.
Het deelt de transparantie die stil door de serie loopt — open naar de kamer, open naar het licht, niets verbergend. En toch staat het. De vormen die het draagt voelen als beloftes die nog niet helemaal zijn uitgesproken, gebaren gevangen tussen intentie en aankomst.
Wat Still Knowing uniek maakt is die spanning tussen kracht en kwetsbaarheid. Het kiest niet tussen hen. Het staat erop beide tegelijk te zijn.
